Exploring ways of tracing lights! Inspired by the work ‘Light Cycles’, this new research and development aimed to find new ways of using lights not only as source but also as a trail mechanism. Here the challenge was to create a continuous stream of light without motion graphics nor AR apparatus, allowing future aerial design and light sculpture.
The idea came up a few months ago after watching the short video called ‘Light Cycles’. We then wondered, how can we make the light more continuous only using cinematography and simple editing techniques. In this research and development, Tracing Lights highlighted methods that can now be used to integrate light as a tracing tool. Watch the short VIDEO below:
